Dale R. Hillman, age 86, of Apple River, IL passed away with his family by his side on March 4, 2025, at SSM Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. The son of Harris and Evelyn (Black) Hillman was born on May 18, 1938, in New Ulm, Minnesota. He married Deloris Behm on April 17, 1960 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Atwater, MN and together they raised three children.
Dale worked at various Chevrolet dealerships as an Office Manager throughout the Midwest. He started his career in Gaylord, MN then moving to Wausau, WI before finally moving his family to the Naperville area. In his retirement, he helped at Sullivans in Stockton in their meats department.
In his free time, Dale enjoyed woodworking, doing puzzles, bookwork and traveling. He and Deloris took various trips out west. You could often find Dale outside, whether it was doing lawn work or out on his boat at the Apple Canyon Lake or Dunn Lake in Minnesota.
